Effects of pregnancy on neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder and predictors of related attacks
Abstract Objective Our study aimed to investigate the influence of pregnancy on the course of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) and to explore the independent predictors of pregnancy‐related attacks. Methods We performed a retrospective study of patients with NMOSD based on the Wingerchuk 2006 or the revised Wingerchuk 2015 criteria ...

Classification of spectra of the Neumann-Poincaré operator on planar domains with corners by resonance [PDF]
We study spectral properties of the Neumann-Poincar\'e operator on planar domains with corners with particular emphasis on existence of continuous spectrum and pure point spectrum. We show that the rate of resonance at continuous spectrum is different from that at eigenvalues, and then derive a method to distinguish continuous spectrum from eigenvalues.

Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

The clinical spectrum of SMA‐PME and in vitro normalization of its cellular ceramide profile
Abstract Objective The objectives of this study were to define the clinical and biochemical spectrum of spinal muscular atrophy with progressive myoclonic epilepsy (SMA‐PME) and to determine if aberrant cellular ceramide accumulation could be normalized by enzyme replacement.

Spectrums of equivalent Schauder operators [PDF]
Assume that $T_1,T_2$ are equivalent Schauder operators. In this paper, we show that even in this case their Schauder spectrum may be very different in the view of operator theory. In fact, we get that if a self-adjoint Schauder operator $A$ has more than one points in its essential spectrum $\sigma_e(A)$, then there exists a unitary spread operator $U$

TGF‐β has a complex role in cancer, exhibiting both tumor‐suppressive and tumor‐promoting properties. Using a series of differentiated tumoroids, derived from different stages and mutational background of colorectal cancer patients, we replicate this duality of TGF‐β in vitro. Notably, the atypical but highly aggressive KRASQ22K mutation rendered early‐

Recognizing early MRI signs (or their absence) is crucial in diagnosing metachromatic leukodystrophy
Abstract Objectives Metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD) has characteristic white matter (WM) changes on brain MRI, which often trigger biochemical and genetic confirmation of the diagnosis. In early or pre‐symptomatic disease stages, these typical MRI changes might be absent, hampering early diagnosis.

Monitoring the Dynamic Response of a Buried Polyethylene Pipe to a Blast Wave: An Experimental Study
Although the use of polyethylene (PE) pipelines has become increasingly widespread in recent years, few studies have addressed their seismic design and ability to withstand blast waves.
