A Qualitative Study of the Effects of the University of Arkansas Autism Support Program [PDF]
Individuals who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder are often united by the following characteristics: difficulty communicating and interacting with others, inhibited ability to function socially, difficulty functioning academically or at ...

Characterizing the many-body localization transition through the entanglement spectrum [PDF]
We numerically explore the many body localization (MBL) transition through the lens of the {\it entanglement spectrum}. While a direct transition from localization to thermalization is believed to obtain in the thermodynamic limit (the exact details of ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

The environmental risk factors associated with fetal macrosomia: An umbrella review
The present umbrella review evaluated the environmental risk factors prior to conception associated with fetal macrosomia based on meta-analyses and systematic reviews. We systematically searched international databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Web

Low lying spectrum of weak-disorder quantum waveguides
We study the low-lying spectrum of the Dirichlet Laplace operator on a randomly wiggled strip. More precisely, our results are formulated in terms of the eigenvalues of finite segment approximations of the infinite waveguide.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders [PDF]
Prenatal exposure to alcohol can damage the developing fetus and is the leading preventable cause of birth defects and intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities. In 1973, fetal alcohol syndrome was first described as a specific cluster of birth defects resulting from alcohol exposure in utero.

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Disorder-induced freezing of dynamical spin fluctuations in underdoped cuprates
We study the dynamical spin susceptibility of a correlated d-wave superconductor (dSC) in the presence of disorder, using an unrestricted Hartree-Fock approach.
