The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder

open access: yesAdvances in Clinical Neuroscience & Rehabilitation, 2017
Over the past 13 years neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) has emerged as a discrete form of demyelinating disease of the central nervous system in which antibodies against a water channel found in high concentration on astrocytes are ...

Universal subgap optical conductivity in quasi-one-dimensional Peierls systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Quasi-one-dimensional Peierls systems with quantum and thermal lattice fluctuations can be modeled by a Dirac-type equation with a Gaussian-correlated off-diagonal disorder.

Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Medicine, 2019
Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is an uncommon antibody-mediated disease of the central nervous system. Long segments of spinal cord inflammation (myelitis), severe optic neuritis, and/or bouts of intractable vomiting and hiccoughs (area postrema syndrome) are classic presentations of the disease and may alert the clinician to the ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Wavepacket Dynamics in One-Dimensional System with Long-Range Correlated Disorder

open access: yes, 2017
We numerically investigate dynamical property in the one-dimensional tight-binding model with long-range correlated disorder having power spectrum $1/f^\alpha$ ($\alpha:$spectrum exponent) generated by Fourier filtering method.
