Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

A QoE-Driven Framework for Mobile Broadband Spectrum Planning Using Time Series Forecasting

open access: yesIEEE Access
The escalating demand for mobile broadband poses significant challenges for spectrum management, particularly in developing countries where detailed traffic data are often inaccessible due to concerns over privacy and confidentiality.

Energy-Efficient Channel Handoff for Sensor Network-Assisted Cognitive Radio Network

open access: yesSensors, 2015
The visiting and less-privileged status of the secondary users (SUs) in a cognitive radio network obligates them to release the occupied channel instantly when it is reclaimed by the primary user.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Interference from IMT system to mobile satellite system in 1 518~1 525 MHz band

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2016
In order to analyze the feasibility of deploying mobile satellite system below 1 518~1 525 MHz band, the interference from the IMT system in 1 492~1 518 MHz band to the mobile satellite system in 1 518~1 525 MHz band was studied in detail via theoretical ...

Facilitators and Barriers of Adherence to Multi-Disease Exacerbation Action Plans in COPD Patients – A Qualitative Study

open access: yesCOPD, 2023
Whereas exacerbation action plans to self-manage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) significantly improve health outcomes, patients’ adherence to those action plans is often poor.

NEW MODEL USING DSA TECHNIQUES AND COASIAN BARGAINING AGREEMENTS FOR SPECTRUM MANAGEMENT IN KOSOVO [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In each country spectrum is scarce and expensive and as such it should treated carefully in terms of efficiency usage. The spectrum can be reallocated, reassigned and resold through agreements between the participants.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

A Hybrid Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning Approach for Spectrum Sharing in Vehicular Networks

open access: yesFuture Internet
Efficient spectrum sharing is essential for maximizing data communication performance in Vehicular Networks (VNs). In this article, we propose a novel hybrid framework that leverages Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL), thereby combining both ...

Impact of prediabetes and diabetes on 3-year outcome of patients treated with new-generation drug-eluting stents in two large-scale randomized clinical trials

open access: yesCardiovascular Diabetology, 2021
Background Diabetes is associated with adverse outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents (DES), but for prediabetes this association has not been definitely established.
