The Optimization of Spectrum Sensing Frame Time

2011
With the application and development of radio technology in all fields, the problem of spectrum scarcity is getting more and more attention. The cognitive radio is introduced to perform opportunistic usage of spectrum of primary user by a secondary user. Therefore a secondary user should be capable of spectrum sensing.

Framing Issues: Public Participation in Canadian Wireless Spectrum Consultations

Canadian Journal of Communication, 2023
Background: A descriptive statistical analysis was performed on Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s (ISED) spectrum consultations from 2008 to 2021, along with a qualitative case study of the 2019 consultation on the 3500 MHz band.

Effect of Damping on Multistory Frame using Response Spectrum

Materials Research Proceedings, 2022
Abstract: The absolute response of the multi-storey frame is ensured by elastic and damping forces. The peak structural response of the frame is obtained using response spectrum analysis under linear range to obtain the lateral forces developed in the structure situated at zone V.

Optimal scheduling of spectrum sensing in LTE-A TDD frame

2016 IEEE Region 10 Symposium (TENSYMP), 2016
Spectral efficiency for LTE-A can be improved by using Opportunistic Spectrum Access (OSA). OSA calls for accurate identification of unused spectral bands, mostly using spectrum sensing. While considerable amount of work has been done on spectrum sensing, the actual implementation issues in mapping sensing operation into the 3GPP defined LTE-A ...

Spectrum Sensing for DMB-T Systems Using PN Frame Headers

2008 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2008
Spectrum sensing for the China digital television terrestrial broadcasting system is considered in this paper. The spectrum sensing algorithms utilize PN sequences embedded in the frame headers to perform spectrum sensing. A theoretical lower bound on the misdetection probability for each spectrum sensor presented in this paper is derived.

Speaker identification based on the frame linear predictive coding spectrum technique

Expert Systems with Applications, 2009
In this paper, a frame linear predictive coding spectrum (FLPCS) technique for speaker identification is presented. Traditionally, linear predictive coding (LPC) was applied in many speech recognition applications, nevertheless, the modification of LPC termed FLPCS is proposed in this study for speaker identification. The analysis procedure consists of

A Pipelined Frame Structure for cooperative spectrum sensing under bandwidth constraints

2013 IEEE Globecom Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2013
In cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS), sharing local sensing data with the fusion center (FC) incurs reporting slots, most of which are often wasted in previous studies. It is even more serious when the common control channel (CCC) is under bandwidth constraints, since the reporting slot is relatively longer.

Optimal number of frames transmitted in a sensing based opportunistic spectrum access

Physical Communication, 2018
Abstract The opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) has emerged as promising approach to increase the efficiency in spectrum sharing. The important feature of the OSA is to enable the unlicensed users or secondary users (SUs) to search for unused spectrum vacated by idle licensed user or primary user (PU).

The Spectrum of Frames and Disputes in the Umbrella Movement

2019
This chapter highlights the importance of how the key campaign groups of the Umbrella Movement contested each other through their efforts of “framing” the movement in different ways so as to realize their competing visions of social mobilization. The Umbrella Movement was basically not a battleground between old and new conceptions of identity; rather,
