Real-time Spectrum Surveillance in Filterless Optical Networks
Optical Fiber Communication Conference, 2018A monitoring system exploiting data analytics and cost-effective optical spectrum analyzers with under 1.2GHz resolution is proposed. Its performance is demonstrated in a filterless network experimental test-bed. The system enables prompt action before lightpath disruption. © 2018 OSA.

Intelligent Fusion of Infrared and Visible Spectrum for Video Surveillance Application
2015In video surveillance, we can rely on either a visible spectrum or an infrared one. In order to profit from both of them, several fusion methods were proposed in literature: low-level fusion, middle-level fusion and high-level fusion. The first one is the most used for moving objects’ detection. It consists in merging information from visible image and

SAS: Modeling and Analysis of Spectrum Activity Surveillance in Wireless Overlay Networks
IEEE INFOCOM 2019 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications, 2019Spectrum monitoring, run-time usage acquisition, and regulation enforcement, in general can be referred to as spectrum activity surveillance (SAS). It is essential to dynamic spectrum access with a two-fold impact: it is a primitive mechanism to continuously scan spectrum usage for system optimization purposes; it is also a prime widget to obtain ...

Fusion of Thermal Infrared and Visible Spectrum Video for Robust Surveillance
2006This paper presents an approach of fusing the information provided by visible spectrum video with that of thermal infrared video to tackle video processing challenges such as object detection and tracking for increasing the performance and robustness of the surveillance system. An enhanced object detection strategy using gradient information along with

Distributed spectrum monitoring and surveillance using a cognitive radio based testbed
2016 IEEE 37th Sarnoff Symposium, 2016This paper described the development and implementation of a distributed spectrum monitoring and surveillance testbed for identifying and locating RF signals using the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP). We use a centralized RF trace collection testbed to establish the baseline, and we focus on distributed RF trace collection.

The Clinical Spectrum of PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome: Exploring the Value of Thyroid Surveillance
Hormone Research in Paediatrics, 2020Introduction: Phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) hamartoma tumor syndrome (PHTS) comprises a collection of clinical features characterized by constitutional variants in PTEN. Several guidelines recommend thyroid screening, beginning at the pediatric age at the time of PHTS diagnosis; however ...

In this study, we consider the joint design of a multiple-input multiple-output communication system and a surveillance radar sharing the same bandwidth. The degrees of freedom for system optimization are the transmit powers of both systems, the space-time linear communication codebook, and the radar receive filters.

Spectrum Effect Mitigation and Monitoring of the EPR Irradiation Surveillance Program
2014The EPR (initially European Pressurized water Reactor then Evolutionary Power Reactor and considered today as only a trademark) reactor pressure vessel (RPV) has been designed taking into account the requirement of an end-of-life (EOL) RTNDT lower than or equal to 30°C after 60 years of operation.
