The Speech Segmentation Module on the basis of Spectrum Variation Analysis
Speech segmentation is intended for separation of homogeneous oscillation parts of the signal which correspond to different types of phonemes. The speech segmentation module is the fundamental element of speechlike signal generating systems for ...

Segmentation ART: A Neural Network for Word Recognition from Continuous Speech [PDF]
The Segmentation ATIT (Adaptive Resonance Theory) network for word recognition from a continuous speech stream is introduced. An input sequeuce represents phonemes detected at a preproccesing stage.

More Temporally Segmented Speech [PDF]
The intelligibility of alternated spech passes through a minimum at an alternation rate of about 3 Hz. The critical parameter defining the minimum is not the duration of the bursts of speech reaching the listener, but rather the amount of speech each burst contains [J. Acoust. Soc. Amer. 36, 1055 (1964)]. Recent work with temporally segmented speech [J.

Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

Syllabic Segmentation Algorithm of Arabic Word [PDF]
An experimental evaluation of an automatic algorithm for segmentation of speech into Arabic syllabic units is reported here. The parameter used for segmentation is the energy and statistical parameter of acoustic signal and depending on the ...

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

An embedded segmental K-means model for unsupervised segmentation and clustering of speech [PDF]
Unsupervised segmentation and clustering of unlabelled speech are core problems in zero-resource speech processing. Most approaches lie at methodological extremes: some use probabilistic Bayesian models with convergence guarantees, while others opt for ...
