Harnessing Native Al/Si Impurities in Bamboo Black Liquor for Self‐Templated Closed‐Pore Hard Carbon Anodes

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A scalable strategy utilizing native impurities in bamboo lignin black liquor is proposed to construct a closed‐pore, rich hard carbon. Controlled impurity removal and high‐temperature reconstruction enable the conversion of open pores into abundant closed pores, thereby promoting sodium cluster storage.

Harmonized Multifaceted Zinc Deposition Enabled by Amine‐Functionalized Carbon Quantum Dots for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Anodes Under Ultrahigh Current Densities

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A novel multifaceted Zn2+ deposition along the native crystal planes of Zn foil has been developed using NH2‐CDs electrolyte additives. This approach overcomes the inability of the conventional (002)‐facet deposition strategy to suppress Zn dendrites at high current densities, achieving dendrite‐free Zn anodes at an ultrahigh current density of 100 mA ...

The Effect of Water Management and Cell Compression in Bipolar Membrane CO2 Electrolysis to CO

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
In‐operando neutron imaging uncovers water management challenges in bipolar membrane CO2 electrolysis: Internal water generation floods the cathode, while compression dictates membrane and gas diffusion electrode integrity. Strategic adjustments are applied in this work: dry gas feed and mechanical support of the gas diffusion electrode enable stable ...

Rapid Access to Photoswitchable RNA Binders: Fluorination Enhances Protein Rescue by Exon Inclusion

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
An adaptable approach, many light‐switchable RNA binders. We report a versatile strategy for rapidly synthesizing photoswitchable RNA binders. The ligands can target SMN2 pre‐mRNA, restoring the levels of the corresponding protein by exon‐inclusion rescue.

Multimodal Fluorescent MOF@BODIPY Platform: Bridging Sensing and Mechanistic Insight

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybrid metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) that integrate organic chromophores constitute powerful platforms for optical sensing by combining structural order with tunable photophysics. Incorporating photoresponsive chromophores into MOFs enables sensitive probing of guest–framework interactions through well‐defined luminescent signatures. Herein,
