3D‐Printed Corneal Substitutes: Materials, Fabrication, and Preclinical Progress
Successful clinical translation of 3D‐printed corneal substitutes relies on the interplay between the bioink properties, cellular component, and the fabrication process. These factors influence the critical properties of the construct, including optical transparency, mechanical stability, suture retention, that ultimately govern long‐term stromal ...

In the previous paper, a hump with elasticity was proposed, and numerical analysis was carried out on the hump in order to determine the influence of the elasticity on speed control for vehicles. In this paper, circular humps with elasticity are designed using a method of multiobjective optimum design in order to minimize the maximum value of the ...

A strain‐activated mechanical metamaterial is developed to achieve programmable dual‐phase stiffness through an intrinsic geometric locking mechanism. Finite element modeling and parametric analysis identify the key design parameters governing activation strain, stiffness transition, and energy absorption.

SVR approach for predicting vehicle velocity for comfortable ride while crossing speed humps
This research focuses on the ride comfort of passengers in vehicles equipped with passive suspension systems. To ensure ride comfort, the paper proposes predicting the vehicle's appropriate velocity that drivers should sustain before approaching speed ...

Programmable Pneumatic Actuator System for a Bioinspired Artificial Colon
A modular soft robotic colon simulator driven by programmable pneumatic actuation is developed to mimic physiological and pathological‐like motility patterns of the large intestine. Finite element–guided design and distributed control enable anatomically realistic deformation for peristalsis, segmentation, and mass movements, supporting capsule ...

The epsilon‐near‐zero (ENZ) effect in metals emerges only in nanometer‐scale films with exceptional optical quality. Titanium nitride (TiN) films grown by molecular beam epitaxy retain high crystallinity down to 2 nm and exhibit dramatically enhanced nonlinear optical responses near the ENZ region.

The Effect of Speed Humps on Highways Pavement Condition [PDF]
Speed humps used as a tool of traffic calming technique that applied to force drivers to reduce their vehicle’ speeds at some locations. For developed countries, the implementations of speed humps are often used within residential areas as well as at locations of schools crossing. For developing countries (e.g.
