Speed-of-light pulses in the massless nonlinear Dirac equation with a potential [PDF]
We consider the massless nonlinear Dirac (NLD) equation in $1+1$ dimension with scalar-scalar self-interaction $\frac{g^2}{2} (\bar{\Psi} \Psi)^2$ in the presence of three external electromagnetic potentials $V(x)$, a potential barrier, a constant ...

Pengaruh Penggunaan Speed Humps Terhadap Tingkat Kebisingan [PDF]
Speed humps are speed limiting devices to protect pedestrians and reduce the accident rate. The installation of speed humps in residential can reduce the speed of motorists but, at the same time, also can create a problem. The purpose of this study is to

Nonlinear ion-acoustic (IA) waves driven in a cylindrically symmetric flow
By employing a self-similar, two-fluid MHD model in a cylindrical geometry, we study the features of nonlinear ion-acoustic (IA) waves which propagate in the direction of external magnetic field lines in space plasmas.

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Purpose. Clear and uninterrupted operation of humps depends on the quality of technical equipment and control technology of cuts speed. Technology of interval and purposive regulation of cuts speed is used at most humps.

Simulating the Impact of Traffic Calming Strategies [PDF]
This study assessed the impact of traffic calming measures to the speed, travel times and capacity of residential roadways. The study focused on two types of speed tables, speed humps and a raised crosswalk.

Surmounting collectively oscillating bottlenecks
We study the collective escape dynamics of a chain of coupled, weakly damped nonlinear oscillators from a metastable state over a barrier when driven by a thermal heat bath in combination with a weak, globally acting periodic perturbation.

Ring-like events: Cherenkov gluons or Mach waves? [PDF]
Similar to electromagnetic forces, strong interactions might induce such collective effects as Cherenkov and Mach waves. Their conical structure would be responsible for specific ring-like events.

Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...
