Cellular geometry controls the efficiency of motile sperm aggregates [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Teams of cooperating sperm have been found across several vertebrate and invertebrate species, ranging from sperm pairs to massive aggregates containing hundreds of cells. Although the biochemical mechanisms involved in the aggregation process are still unclear, it was found that aggregation can enhance the mobility of the cells, thus offering an ...

Research progress of antibody coupling technique in targeted drug delivery

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Antibody‐drug conjugates are a cutting‐edge biotechnology recently attracting wide attention in the medical field. Binding antibodies to drug molecules could deliver drugs precisely to the site of the lesion, which shows great potential in the treatment of tumors and immune diseases.

Allergenicity, Genotoxicity and Subchronic Toxicity Assessment of IgG Binding Protein LT Produced From Aspergillus oryzae

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gastrointestinal health is one of the fastest growing areas in the food and beverage industry, as its importance to overall health and well‐being is becoming increasingly recognized. Immunoglobulins play a key role in protecting the gastrointestinal tract, and nonbovine sources of immunoglobulins (including camel milk, which has a long history

SpeHeatal: A Cluster-Enhanced Segmentation Method for Sperm Morphology Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The accurate assessment of sperm morphology is crucial in andrological diagnostics, where the segmentation of sperm images presents significant challenges. Existing approaches frequently rely on large annotated datasets and often struggle with the segmentation of overlapping sperm and the presence of dye impurities.

Atopic Dermatitis in Childhood and Biomarkers of Male Reproductive Health: A Danish National Birth Cohort Study

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
This study found no indication of an adverse effect of childhood atopic dermatitis on biomarkers of male reproductive health. On the contrary, we observed some indications of slightly higher sperm concentration and lower follicle‐stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
