Review of expansion microscopy combined with advanced imaging modalities

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Expansion microscopy (ExM) is a powerful high‐resolution imaging technique that enhances the spatial resolution of conventional light microscopy by physically enlarging biological specimens by embedding and cross‐linking them in a swellable polymer network.

Efek amfetamin terhadap ultrastruktur sel spermatogenetik tikus

open access: yesJournal of Biological Researches, 2001
The research was conducted to evaluate the effect of amphetamine as pshycostimulan drug on ultrastructure spermatogenic cells of male rats (Rattus norvegicus L.). Ultrastructure spermatogenic cells described from six male rats of Wistar strain. They were

Coral Disease and Health Workshop: Coral Histopathology II [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The health and continued existence of coral reef ecosystems are threatened by an increasing array of environmental and anthropogenic impacts. Coral disease is one of the prominent causes of increased mortality among reefs globally, particularly in the ...

An azoospermic man with a double-strand DNA break-processing deficiency in the spermatocyte nuclei: case report.

open access: yesHuman Reproduction, 2006
BACKGROUND The mechanisms of meiotic arrest in human spermatogenesis are poorly known. METHODS AND RESULTS A testicular biopsy from an azoospermic male showed complete spermatogenesis arrest at the spermatocyte stage, asynapsis, lack of formation of ...

Subchronic Exposure to Aripiprazole Subtly Impacts on Rodents' Sperm Quality and Fertility

open access: yesBasic &Clinical Pharmacology &Toxicology, Volume 138, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Aripiprazole, a third‐generation antidepressant/antipsychotic drug, acts on serotonergic and dopaminergic receptors and is widely prescribed for mental disorders, such as depression and schizophrenia. Studies indicate that this class of drugs can impact directly on sperm quality and fertility.

The effect of salubrinal on the endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway in heat‐stressed spermatogonial cells in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 2, Page 340-351, February 2026.
This study investigates the protective role of salubrinal against heat‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in mouse spermatogenic cells (GC1 and GC2). By modulating the ER stress pathway, salubrinal alleviates cellular stress and supports spermatogenic cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic candidate for heat‐related infertility.

Development of sexual organs and fecundity in Octopus vulgaris Cuvier, 1797 from the Sardinian waters (Mediterranean Sea) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we report information about the sexual maturity process of 245 Octopus vulgaris specimens (75 females and 170 males) from the Mediterranean Sea. For both sexes, six stages of sexual maturity (immature, developing, maturing, mature, spawning,

Bisphenol B Exposure Induces Miscarriage by Suppressing Migration/Invasion and Migrasome Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
BPB (Bisphenol B) exposure up‐regulates ER (estrogen receptor) levels, enhances its interactions with the lnc‐HZ04 promoter region, and thus promotes ER‐mediated lnc‐HZ04 transcription. Subsequently, lnc‐HZ04 suppresses TCF4 (transcription factor 4)‐mediated PKCA (protein kinase C alpha) transcription and subsequently suppresses migration/invasion and ...
