Pathology Case Reviews, 1994
Spermatocytic seminoma is a rare testicular neoplasm that occurs only in adults (range, 25 to 87 years; mean, 54). It has no ovarian homologue and is found only in descended testes. It is not associated with other types of germ cell neoplasia. Orchiectomy is curative in virtually all cases; of more than 200 known cases, only one has metastasized.

Urology, 1976
A case is reported of a forty-four-year-old man with spermatocytic seminoma with no evidence of metastasis for twelve years. This patient is the second to have undergone retroperitoneal lymph node dissection and the third to have histopathologic examination of these lymph nodes.

Metastatic Spermatocytic Seminoma
Journal of Urology, 1980Spermatocytic seminoma is noted generally for its relative infrequency of regional or distant metastases. A case of metastatic spermatocytic seminoma is reported in which there was radiographic evidence of tumor recurrence within an irradiated area.

Spermatocytic Seminoma: A Review
European Urology, 2004Spermatocytic seminoma is a rare testicular tumour that has an extremely low rate of metastasis. We present a review of the management of this malignancy at our institution.Between 1981 and 1999, 771 patients were treated at our institution for testicular seminoma. Of these, 13 had spermatocytic seminoma; one was excluded as he had treatment elsewhere.

Ribosomal RNA in mouse spermatocytes
Experimental Cell Research, 1974Abstract Several earlier autoradiographic observations have reported the absence or the very low rate of nuclear incorporation of RNA precursors in male gametocytes. The problem of ribosomal RNA synthesis in mouse spermatocytes was approached biochemically by using ionizing radiation which at low doses selectively destroys spermatogonia without ...

Flow Cytometry of Murine Spermatocytes
Current Protocols in Cytometry, 2015AbstractProtocols for purification of murine male germ cells by FACS based on Hoechst 33342 (Ho342) dye staining have been reported and optimized. However, the protocols are often challenging to follow, partly due to difficulties related to sample preparation, instrument parameters, data display, and selection strategies.

Spermatocytic Seminoma Associated with Rhabdomyosarcoma
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1990A case of spermatocytic seminoma intimately associated with rhabdomyosarcoma is reported. The patient, a 51-year-old man, presented with a two-year history of right-sided testicular enlargement. Orchiectomy was performed, and a large testicular tumor was excised.

Bilateral Sequential Spermatocytic Seminoma
Journal of Urology, 1980Abstract A case of bilateral spermatocytic seminoma in a 30-year-old man is reported. An unusual feature of the case is the relatively young age of the patient.

Anaplastic variant of spermatocytic seminoma
Human Pathology, 1996Four examples of spermatocytic seminoma with a predominant anaplastic component occurred in men 33 to 43 years of age, without histories of cyptorchidism. The seminomas presented with painless testicular masses recognized 3 to 18 months before orchiectomy.

Microinjection into crane-fly spermatocytes
Biochemistry and Cell Biology, 1993We were successful in microinjecting fluorescently labelled material into crane-fly spermatocytes. In our experiments, we obtained four results. (i) In most attempts, the membrane stretched around the micropipette and prevented entry of fluorescent material, even when the micropipette appeared to be pushed completely through the cell.
