Many efforts have been made in the past to obtain a “toxic” antiserum against sperm cells washed free of seminal plasma. Heterologous, homologous, and even autologous sensitization using rabbits, bulls, guinea pigs, and mice, have all been claimed to be successful (Metchnikoff, 1900; Guyer, 1922; Kennedy, 1924).
