Nuclear Star Clusters and the Stellar Spheroids of their Host Galaxies
(Abridged) We combine published photometry for the nuclear star clusters (NSCs) and stellar spheroids of 51 low-mass, early-type galaxies in the Virgo cluster with empirical mass-to-light ratios, in order to complement previous studies that explore the ...

High‐Temperature Heat Pump Test Bench with n‐Butane (R‐600) Generating Steam
This work involves building a test bench for a high‐temperature heat pump (HTHP) and analyzing the measurements. The focus is on steam generation using an HTHP to decarbonize process steam demand. The findings indicate that stable steam generation is possible, providing a higher heat transfer coefficient in the heat pump's condenser.

In this paper we present the equations and some basic applications of relativistic SPH. The equations are generated under the assumption that there are no interaction terms between the fluid modelled and the background space-time, i.e. we are neglecting the perturbations to the metric produced by the modelled fluid.

Masked Silylenes: Controlled Generation and Reactivity Under Thermal and Equilibrium Conditions
This Review provides an overview of masked silylenes as bench‐stable precursors that release silylenes (R2Si:) under thermal activation or reversible equilibria. Precursor preparation, generation pathways, and characteristic reactivity are summarized, including trapping chemistry, reversible interconversions, insertion‐type processes, and small ...

Emerging Trends in Organic Photoreactions Utilizing Disulfides
Disulfides are versatile, nontoxic alternatives to metal photocatalysts. This review explores their role as photoactivated thiyl‐radical precursors and bifunctional catalysts (HAT/electron shuttling) in diverse transformations. Strategies for electronic tuning and development into recyclable heterogeneous materials are highlighted for sustainable ...

SPH Modelling of Hydrodynamic Lubrication along Rough Surfaces
Rough and textured surfaces are of paramount importance for lubrication, both in nature and in technology. While surface roughness relevantly influences both friction and wear, artificial surface texturing improves the performance of slider bearings as ...

Local Polynomial Regression and Filtering for a Versatile Mesh‐Free PDE Solver
A high‐order, mesh‐free finite difference method for solving differential equations is presented. Both derivative approximation and scheme stabilisation is carried out by parametric or non‐parametric local polynomial regression, making the resulting numerical method accurate, simple and versatile. Numerous numerical benchmark tests are investigated for
