Assessment of Vehicle Stability Processes Under Unsteady Flow Conditions
ABSTRACT The vehicle stability criteria are based on experimental and theoretical studies that do not account for the unsteady nature of floods. The rapid variation of depths and velocities in floods causes an additional hydrodynamic force in the direction of the flow, destabilising a vehicle that would otherwise be safe in steady flow conditions. This

Abstract Sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies in the Kuroshio Extension (KE) region have been increasingly recognized as playing a key role in shaping the extratropical air–sea interactions. However, the extent to which such extratropical SST forcing can influence large‐scale atmospheric circulation and surrounding SST remains uncertain ...

From Light‐Driven to Dark Synthesis: Streamlining Perfluoroalkyl Selenide Ether Formation
Two orthogonal and user‐friendly protocols enable the efficient construction of (Se/S)RF bonds from simple dichalcogenides and perfluoroalkyl iodides. Visible‐light irradiation at 395 nm promotes seleno‐ and thioether formation, while a dark KOH/MeCN variant delivers selenoethers in minutes. Both approaches operate under mild, metal‐ and photocatalyst‐

Kelvin-Helmholtz instability by SPH
In this paper, we have modeled the Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability (KHI) problem of an incompressible two-phase immiscible fluid in a stratified inviscid shear flow with interfacial tension using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method. The time dependent evolution of the two-fluid interface over a wide range of Richardson number (Ri) and for three ...
