A STUDY OF APPROXIMATE DEVELOPMENT OF SPHERICAL SURFACES

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Design and Engineering Graphics, 2019
An interesting problem in descriptive geometry is the unfolding of the non-developable surfaces of revolution. In this paper we start from the two classic methods of approximate development of a sphere: the gore method and the zone method.

Approximation Characteristics of Weighted Sobolev Spaces on Sphere in Different Settings

open access: yesAxioms
This article primarily examines the approximation properties of a weighted Sobolev space W2,κr defined on a sphere Sd−1 equipped with Gaussian measures. Specifically, this study focuses on both the average case and probabilistic case settings.

Targeted protein degradation in oncology: novel therapeutic opportunity for solid tumours?

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Current anticancer therapies are limited by the occurrence of resistance and undruggability of most proteins. Targeted protein degraders are novel, promising agents that trigger the selective degradation of previously undruggable proteins through the recruitment of the ubiquitin–proteasome machinery. Their mechanism of action raises exciting challenges,

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.
