Public sphere

open access: yes, 2020
The concept of the public sphere is a central analytical tool that helps us to make sense of the relationship between the media and democracy (civic engagement). Political theorist Habermas explained that in the late eighteenth century a new political class (the bourgeoisie) came to the fore in Britain in particular and formed a public body which, in ...

Public Sphere as Democratic Sphere

open access: yesIssues in Social Science, 2018
Political public space is more conflicted and stressed. Process of black-balling other actors is dominant here. Other civilian public spaces mean mutual learning and opinion improvement. These two spaces try to affect each other. Civilian public spaces try to affect political public space with political discourses.

Sphere bundles over spheres and H-spaces

open access: yesTopology, 1969
In this paper the authors answer negatively the following question of J. F. Adams and I. M. James. Can the total space of a 7-sphere bundle over either the 11-sphere or the 15-sphere be an \(H\)-space? This result implies that the quaternionic Stiefel manifold \(W_{3,2}\) and the octonionic Stiefel manifold \(Y_{2,2}\) can not be \(H\)-spaces.

Generalized Poincaré sphere

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
We present a generalized Poincaré sphere (G sphere) and generalized Stokes parameters (G parameters), as a geometric representation, which unifies the descriptors of a variety of vector fields. Unlike the standard Poincaré sphere, the radial dimension in the G sphere is not used to describe the partially polarized field.

Sphere

open access: yes, 2019
A decentralization of electronic currency would allow business activity and development of a single network to be independent of other different business networks. Cost of a decentralized currency of the network can become stable as long as participants of that network are still active. We propose a solution for such a big problem of traditional economy
