Harmonic frequency analysis of skewed functionally graded flat and spherical shallow shells
Present article emphasizes, harmonic frequency characteristics of functionally graded (FG) curved panels in rectangular and tilted planforms are investigated. A micromechanical material model is used through power-law based Voigt’s material model.

Spherical harmonic analysis of a harmonic function given on a spheroid [PDF]
A new analytical method for the computation of a truncated series of solid spherical harmonic coefficients (HCs) from data on a spheroid (i.e. an oblate ellipsoid of revolution) is derived, using a transformation between surface and solid spherical HCs. A two-step procedure is derived to extend this transformation beyond degree and order (d/o) 520. The

Asymmetric Growth of Tumor Spheroids in a Symmetric Environment
In this work, we studied the stability of radially symmetric growth in tumor spheroids using a reaction-diffusion model. In this model, nutrient concentration and internal pressure are local variables that implicitly relate the proliferation of cells to ...

Harmonic Analysis by Spherical Function for Evaluating Form Error of Spherical Parts.
A method for measuring the form error of spherical parts was developed in the previous report. The measured results showed that steel balls used as ball bearing assemblies usually had the form error of three or four undulations. In the present report, a harmonic analysis by the spherical function is introduced to evaluate the sphericities of the steel ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Periods and harmonic analysis on spherical varieties
Given a spherical variety X for a group G over a non-archimedean local field k, the Plancherel decomposition for L^2(X) should be related to "distinguished" Arthur parameters into a dual group closely related to that defined by Gaitsgory and Nadler. Motivated by this, we develop, under some assumptions on the spherical variety, a Plancherel formula for

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Spherical Harmonic Theory Investigations for Spherical Antenna Arrays [PDF]
Low Earth Orbit satellite communications can be significantly improved by the omni-directional beamscanning ability of the spherical antenna arrays. The signal processing of spherical antenna arrays is essentially enhanced by employing spherical harmonic
