Meissner Effect and Nonreciprocal Charge Transport in Non‐Topological 1T‐CrTe2/FeTe Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates interface‐induced superconductivity (Tc ∼12 K) with a robust Meissner effect and pronounced nonreciprocal transport in epitaxial 1T‐CrTe2/FeTe heterostructures, where 1T‐CrTe2 is a 2D ferromagnet, and FeTe is an antiferromagnetic metal.

Matrix Stiffness Governs Fibroblasts’ Regulation of Gingival Immune Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study identifies a “mechano‐epigenetic” checkpoint in which matrix stiffness governs the immune responses of gingival fibroblasts. Using biomimetic hydrogels and human gingival explants, the studies revealed that restoring extracellular matrix stiffness actively suppresses inflammation via non‐canonical NF‐κB signaling and DNA methylation ...

A Note on Spherical Needlets

open access: yes, 2015
Compared with the traditional spherical harmonics, the spherical needlets are a new generation of spherical wavelets that possess several attractive properties.

Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.

Comparative Studies on the Radiative Heat Transfer in Arc Plasma and Its Impact in a Model of a Free-Burning Arc

open access: yesPlasma
The radiative heat transfer in arc plasma models is considered from the point of view of its description in terms of a net emission coefficient, the method of spherical harmonics in its lowest order, and the discrete ordinate method.
