The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

General form of the Euler-Poisson-Darboux equation and application of the transmutation method
In this article, we find solution representations in the compact integral form to the Cauchy problem for a general form of the Euler-Poisson-Darboux equation with Bessel operators via generalized translation and spherical mean operators for all ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Holographic-(V)AE: An end-to-end SO(3)-equivariant (variational) autoencoder in Fourier space
Group-equivariant neural networks have emerged as an efficient approach to model complex data, using generalized convolutions that respect the relevant symmetries of a system.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

A remark on rational Cherednik algebras and differential operators on the cyclic quiver [PDF]
We show that the spherical subalgebra Uk,c of the rational Cherednik algebra associated to Sn 2 Cl, the wreath product of the symmetric group and the cyclic group of order l, is isomorphic to a quotient of the ring of invariant differential operators on ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

On a method for constructing the Green function of the Dirichlet problem for the Laplace equation
The study of boundary value problems for elliptic equations is of both theoretical and applied interest. A thorough study of model physical and spectral problems requires an explicit and effective representation of the problem solution.
