Review on interlamellar spacing and spheroidization rate for hypoeutectoid steel and hypereutectoid steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This Final Year Project shows how the rate of spheroidization is dependent on the thickness of the pearlite layers or lamellar. When pearlite microstructure is subjected to an appropriate temperature for a prolong period of time, spheroidization occurs ...

On Spheroidal Harmonics [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 1914
Ellipsoidal harmonics are defined to be those solutions of Laplace's equation(where x, y, z are rectangular coordinates) which are useful in problems relating to ellipsoids. If the equationrepresents a family of confocal quadrics, it is known that the ellipsoidal harmonics belonging to the family are products of the formwhere l1, l2… are constants: one

High‐Throughput Digital Decoding of Vascular Heterogeneity in Patient‐Specific Tumor Microenvironments

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Quantitative characterization of vascular heterogeneity in complex microphysiological systems (MPS), particularly within patient‐derived tumor microenvironments, remains a major challenge for scalable disease modeling and therapeutic evaluation.

Plasma Spheroidization of Gas-atomized 304L Stainless Steel Powder for Laser Powder Bed Fusion Process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Particles of AISI 304L stainless steel powder were spheroidized by the induction plasma spheroidization process (TekSphero-15 spheroidization system) to assess the effects of the spheroidization process on powder and part properties.

A Systematic Study of GelMA‐Carbopol Bioinks for High‐Fidelity Extrusion 3D Bioprinting at Physiological Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gonzalez Martinez and collaborators develop a strategy to formulate high performance GelMA‐based bioinks with low solids contents. The resulting bioinks enable 3D bioprinting at 37 °C of high‐fidelity structures with tunable mechanical properties that support high cell viability and function.

3D Bioprinted Breast Cancer‐Stroma Model with Tailored Migration‐Permissive Bioink Reveals Impact of Adipose‐Derived Stromal Cells on Cancer Cell Migration and Invasion Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A migration‐permissive bioink composed of methacrylated collagen type I and thiolated hyaluronic acid enables 3D bioprinting of breast cancer‐stroma models. Single‐cell tracking reveals that adipose stromal cells enhance tumor cell motility and stromal invasion, accompanied by collagen remodeling, and a shift in tumor cell morphology.

Cellular Responses to Mechanical Cues Across Scales: From Fundamental Insights to Translational Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Fabrication of homogeneous tungsten porous matrix using spherical tungsten powders prepared by thermal plasma spheroidization process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this work, spherical and dense tungsten particles with average size of 13 pm were synthesized by thermal plasma spheroidization process, and were further used to fabricate porous tungsten matrix with homogeneous pore distribution and open pore channel.

Study on the property of AI-Sn-Pb and its bush material clad with steel strip by liquid-solid bond rolling [PDF]

open access: yesChina Foundry, 2005
AISn8Pb2Si25Cu0.8Cr0.2(ASP) is a new bush material with high performance, but its bad lasticity limits its application. By studying the effect of silicon content on the performance of this bush material, it was found that the alloy performance and the ...
