Polymer, Water, and Salt Partitioning in Complex Coacervates Characterized by Femtosecond Stimulated Raman Microscopy

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
The partitioning of polymer, water, and salt within complex coacervates formed by the polyelectrolytes poly(diallyldiemthylammonium chloride) and poly(4‐styrenesulfonate) is investigated using femtosecond stimulated Raman microscopy (FSRM). With FSRM, small sample volumes (≈20 μl) are characterized in a few minutes. Complex coacervates can form through

Travelling Places, Navigating Conflicts: Relational Ontology of Public Space in Urban Climate Transformation

open access: yesConflict Resolution Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the ontological complexity of public space through an analysis of the long‐running dispute over the development of Redlowska Glade, a green area in Gdynia, Poland. Drawing on relational ontology perspective, the study explores how conflicting parties not only debated the future of this space but also enacted different ...

Understanding the Dissolution Kinetics of a DINCH Plasticized PVC: Experimental Design and Applied Modeling

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Experimental design and applied modeling of the dissolution kinetics of poly(vinyl chloride) containing di‐isononyl‐1,2‐cyclohexaandicarboxylaat (DINCH) plasticizer, with varying temperature (T), plastic particle size (dp), and solvents. Polymer dissolution‐precipitation recycling is a promising pathway to increase plastic recycling rates.
