Spike-Timing-Dependent Plasticity in Balanced Random Networks
Neural Computation, 2007The balanced random network model attracts considerable interest because it explains the irregular spiking activity at low rates and large membrane potential fluctuations exhibited by cortical neurons in vivo. In this article, we investigate to what extent this model is also compatible with the experimentally observed phenomenon of spike-timing ...

Floating Gate Synapses With Spike-Time-Dependent Plasticity
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, 2010This paper describes a single transistor floating-gate synapse device that can be used to store a weight in a nonvolatile manner, compute a biological EPSP, and demonstrate biological learning rules such as Long-Term Potentiation, LTD, and spike-time dependent plasticity.

Amplitude and Spike Timing Dependent Plasticity
2007 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, 2007Many spike timing dependent plasticity (STDP) rules generate a bimodal distribution of synaptic weights because there is no stable equilibrium state. Our approach augments STDP with amplitude dependence providing negative feedback of synaptic weight to plasticity resulting in weights being driven toward stable values and unimodal distributions.

Spike Timing-Dependent Plasticity (STDP)
2017We mentioned spike timing-dependent plasticity (STDP) in Section 33.2 already. Experimental evidence for STDP was presented in [68]: The connection from cell A to cell B was shown to be strengthened when A fired just before B (Hebbian learning), and weakened when B fired just before A (anti-Hebbian learning).
