Aharonov-Casher effect in a two dimensional hole gas with spin-orbit interaction
We study the quantum interference effects induced by the Aharonov-Casher phase in a ring structure in a two-dimensional heavy hole (HH) system with spin-orbit interaction realizable in narrow asymmetric quantum wells.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

We report on experimental detection of the spin-orbit interaction field in an InAs nanowire double quantum dot device. In the spin blockade regime, leakage current through the double quantum dot is measured and is used to extract the effects of spin ...

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Semiclassical Monte Carlo simulation studies of spin dephasing in InP and InSb nanowires
We use semiclassical Monte Carlo approach to investigate spin polarized transport in InP and InSb nanowires. D’yakonov-Perel (DP) relaxation and Elliott-Yafet (EY) relaxation are the two main relaxation mechanisms for spin dephasing in III-V channels ...

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Effect of Spin-orbit Interaction on the Magneto-optical Spectra of InSb Quantum Dots [PDF]
The work presents the theoretical calculations of the dependences of the energy levels and the electron absorption spectra in a parabolic quantum dot on the applied magnetic field.

Hole Spin Helix: Anomalous Spin Diffusion in Anisotropic Strained Hole Quantum Wells
We obtain the spin-orbit interaction and spin-charge coupled transport equations of a two-dimensional heavy hole gas under the influence of strain and anisotropy. We show that a simple two-band Hamiltonian can be used to describe the holes.
