Observation and enhancement of room temperature bilinear magnetoelectric resistance in sputtered topological semimetal Pt3Sn

open access: yesnpj Spintronics
Topological semimetal materials have attracted a great deal of attention due to their intrinsic strong spin-orbit coupling, which leads to large charge-to-spin conversion efficiency and novel spin transport behaviors.

Crater Observing Bioinspired Rolling Articulator (COBRA)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
Crater Observing Bio‐inspired Rolling Articulator (COBRA) is a modular, snake‐inspired robot that addresses the mobility challenges of extraterrestrial exploration sites such as Shackleton Crater. Incorporating snake‐like gaits and tumbling locomotion, COBRA navigates both uneven surfaces and steep crater walls.

Vacancy‐Controlled Lattice Dynamics and Magnetism in Mn‐Doped CeO2−δ Nanocrystals

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Mn‐doped CeO2−δ${\rm CeO}_{2-\delta }$ nanocrystals provide a model system to quantify how defect chemistry controls emergent magnetism in a wide‐gap oxide. Single‐phase fluorite Ce1−xMnxO2−δ${\rm Ce}_{1-x}{\rm Mn}_x{\rm O}_{2-\delta }$ (0≤x≤0.09$0 \le x \le 0.09$) nanocrystals exhibit nonmonotonic changes in lattice parameter, microstrain ...

Room temperature nonlocal detection of charge-spin interconversion in a topological insulator

open access: yesnpj 2D Materials and Applications
Topological insulators (TIs) are emerging materials for next-generation low-power nanoelectronic and spintronic device applications. TIs possess non-trivial spin-momentum locking features in the topological surface states in addition to the spin-Hall ...

Ultra‐High Spin Hall Angle in Sputtered Sb2Te3 Topological Insulators via Pt Interfacial Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
Topological insulator Sb2Te3 demonstrates exceptional charge‐to‐spin conversion efficiency and thermal stability up to 400°C, showing great promise for spin–orbit torque memory applications. This study achieves high‐quality Sb2Te3 films on silicon substrates through optimized sputtering and introduces an ultrathin Pt interlayer to suppress interfacial ...
