Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Some symmetry properties of spin currents and spin polarizations in multi-terminal mesoscopic spin-orbit coupled systems

open access: yes, 2007
We study theoretically some symmetry properties of spin currents and spin polarizations in multi-terminal mesoscopic spin-orbit coupled systems. Based on a scattering wave function approach, we show rigorously that in the equilibrium state no finite spin

Electron-electron spin-spin interaction in spin-labeled low-spin methemoglobin

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 1995
Nitroxyl free radical electron spin relaxation times for spin-labeled low-spin methemoglobins were measured between 6 and 120 K by two-pulse electron spin echo spectroscopy and by saturation recovery electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). Spin-lattice relaxation times for cyano-methemoglobin and imidazole-methemoglobin were measured between 8 and 25 K ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

An Exact Schedulability Test for Real-Time Systems with Abstract Scheduler on Multiprocessor Platforms

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем
This paper uses the model checking method for an exact schedulability test of real-time systems running on multiprocessor platforms. To use this method, we formally describe real-time systems with an abstract scheduler as Kripke models.

Fundamental Features of Quantum Dynamics Studied in Matter-Wave Interferometry—Spin Weak Values and the Quantum Cheshire-Cat

open access: yesAtoms, 2016
The validity of quantum-mechanical predictions has been confirmed with a high degree of accuracy in a wide range of experiments. Although the statistics of the outcomes of a measuring apparatus have been studied intensively, little has been explored and ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Microglial dynamics and ferroptosis induction in human iPSC‐derived neuron–astrocyte–microglia tri‐cultures

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

Conversion of Arbitrary Three-Dimensional Polarization States to Regular States via Spin Cancellation

open access: yesPhotonics
The present work is motivated by the necessity of handling and controlling three-dimensional polarization states, whose appropriate preparation has increasing interest in areas like nanotechnologies, quantum computing and near-field phenomena.

Generation and Detection of Spin Currents in Semiconductor Nanostructures with Strong Spin-Orbit Interaction

open access: yes, 2015
Storing, transmitting, and manipulating information using the electron spin resides at the heart of spintronics. Fundamental for future spintronics applications is the ability to control spin currents in solid state systems. Among the different platforms
