Spectral form factor of a quantum spin glass

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
It is widely expected that systems which fully thermalize are chaotic in the sense of exhibiting random-matrix statistics of their energy level spacings, whereas integrable systems exhibit Poissonian statistics.

Binomial Spin Glass

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2018
To establish a unified framework for studying both discrete and continuous coupling distributions, we introduce the binomial spin glass, a class of models where the couplings are sums of m identically distributed Bernoulli random variables. In the continuum limit m→∞, the class reduces to one with Gaussian couplings, while m=1 corresponds to the ±J ...

Mn-induced multiple magnetic ground states in Sr_{3}(Ru_{1−x}Mn_{x})_{2}O_{7}

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
Transition-metal oxides provide an excellent platform to generate ground states by tuning the various degrees of freedom via stimuli such as chemical doping.

Local inspection of magnetic properties in GdMnIn by measuring hyperfine interactions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
GdMnIn is reported to crystallize in the hexagonal MgNi2-type structure presenting a spin-glass behavior with no magnetic order attributed to the triangular spin frustration of magnetic ions.

Toward understanding the dimensional crossover of canonical spin-glass thin films

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
Spin-glass thin films exhibit many features different from the bulk. The freezing temperatures of spin-glass films are suppressed for reduced thickness and follow the Kenning relation. The dynamics are altered near the vacuum interface.

Magnetic properties of nickel carbide nanoparticles with enhanced coercivity

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
Rhombohedral nickel carbide (Ni3Cx, x=0.7, 1.2 and 1.5) nanoparticles (∼ 110 nm) with enhanced magnetic coercivity (HC up to 1.3 kOe) at temperature below the spin-glass freezing (Tf) have been demonstrated.

Exploring the critical behavior of the anomalous spin-glass transition in Ga1−xMnxS

open access: yesAIP Advances
Single-crystalline Ga1−xMnxS is a quasi-two-dimensional system that exhibits an anomalous spin-glass transition temperature compared with the other well-known spin-glass systems. In contrast to the other known spin-glasses that all have three-dimensional

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Investigation of experimental signatures of spin glass transition temperature

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
We present a series of temperature and field-dependent magnetization studies of large single-crystal spin glass samples, focusing on both field-cooled (FC) and zero-field-cooled (ZFC) magnetization studies, as well as ac susceptibility measurements ...
