The upper limit of the in-plane spin splitting of Gaussian beam reflected from a glass-air interface
Optical spin splitting has a promising prospect in quantum information and precision metrology. Since it is typically small, many efforts have been devoted to its enhancement.

The presence of Griffiths phase to cluster spin glass transition has theoretically been predicted in both classical and quantum systems. However, its detection in a classical system has been lacking for decades, which hinders a complete understanding of ...

Exploring the Different Degrees of Magnetic Disorder in TbxR1−xCu2 Nanoparticle Alloys
Recently, potential technological interest has been revealed for the production of magnetocaloric alloys using Rare-Earth intermetallics. In this work, three series of TbxR1−xCu2 (R ≡ Gd, La, Y) alloys have been produced in bulk and nanoparticle sizes ...

p-spin model in finite dimensions and its relation to structural glasses [PDF]
The p-spin spin-glass model has been studied extensively at mean-field level because of the insights which it provides into the mode-coupling approach to structural glasses and the nature of the glass transition. We demonstrate explicitly that the finite dimensional version of the p-spin model is in the same universality class as an Ising spin glass in

The nature of ordering in dilute dipolar interacting systems dates back to the work of Debye and is one of the most basic, oldest and as-of-yet unsettled problems in magnetism.

Contrasting the magnetic response between magnetic-glass and reentrant spin-glass [PDF]
Magnetic-glass is a recently identified phenomenon in various classes of magnetic systems undergoing a first order magnetic phase transition. We shall highlight here a few experimentally determined characteristics of magnetic-glass and the relevant set of experiments, which will enable to distinguish a magnetic-glass unequivocally from the well known ...

Entanglement and Replica Symmetry Breaking in a Driven-Dissipative Quantum Spin Glass
We describe simulations of the quantum dynamics of a confocal cavity QED system that realizes an intrinsically driven-dissipative spin glass. A close connection between open quantum dynamics and replica symmetry breaking is established, in which ...

Mean-Field Theory of a Quantum Heisenberg Spin Glass [PDF]
A full mean field solution of a quantum Heisenberg spin glass model is presented in a large-N limit. A spin glass transition is found for all values of the spin S. The quantum critical regime associated with the quantum transition at S=0, and the various regimes in the spin glass phase at high spin are analyzed.
