Spin Hall Effect

2018
The spin Hall effect is of current interest from a fundamental and a device application point of view. Most importantly, the spin Hall effect allows to transfer an electrical charge current into a pure spin current, i.e. a current carrying only (spin) angular momentum without an accompanying charge current.
