ESR Spin Probes in Ionic Liquids
ChemPhysChem, 2006AbstractThe spin probes 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐oxyl (TEMPO), 4‐hydroxy‐2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐oxyl (TEMPOL), and 2,2,6,6‐tetramethyl‐4‐trimethylammoniumpiperidine‐1‐oxylIodide (CAT‐1) are examined in a number of ionic liquids based on substituted imidazolium cations and tetrafluoroborate and hexafluorophosphate anions, respectively ...

Cryogenic electron spin resonance microimaging probe
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2012A new probe for acquiring ESR images with microscopic resolution and high spin sensitivity, at a temperature range of ~4.2-300 K, is presented. Details of the probe design, as well as its principle of operation, are provided. The probe incorporates a unique surface loop-gap microresonator.

Local Probe for Spin-Orbit Interaction
Physical Review Letters, 1988The branching ratio of core-valence transitions in x-ray absorption spectroscopy is linearly related to the expectation value of the spin-orbit operator in the valence states. This offers a direct method to determine the spin-orbit interaction in the local electronic structure of metal compounds and alloys. The method is complementary to susceptibility

Probing spin waves using single-spin magnetometry
Symposium Latsis 2019 on Diamond Photonics - Physics, Technologies and Applications, 2019Spin waves are the elementary spin excitations of magnetic materials. This paper presents the use of nitrogen-vacancy spins in diamond to study spin-wave resonances, thermally excited spin waves, and spin-wave chemical potentials. These techniques open up new possibilities for nanoscale imaging and control of spin transport in mesoscopic spin systems.

The results of studies of the molecular dynamics and structure of direct, polymeric and reverse micelles by the spin probe method using stationary ESR spectroscopy and electron spin echo spectroscopy are considered. The spin probes permit the determination of the characteristic rotation times, shapes and sizes of micelles and the local molecular ...
