Probing interactions through space using spin–spin coupling [PDF]
A series of eight 5-(TeAr)-6-(SePh)acenaphthenes (Ar = aryl) were prepared and structurally characterised by X-ray crystallography, solution and solid-state NMR spectroscopy and DFT/B3LYP calculations.

Scanned-probe detection of electron spin resonance from a nitroxide spin probe [PDF]
We report an approach that extends the applicability of ultrasensitive force-gradient detection of magnetic resonance to samples with spin-lattice relaxation times ( T 1 ) as short as a single cantilever period.

Magnetocapacitance: Probe of Spin-Dependent Potentials [PDF]
The magnetic field dependence of the capacitance of Pd-AlOx-Al thin-film structures has been measured. The observed quadratic dependence of capacitance on magnetic field is consistent with a theoretical model that includes the effect of a spin-dependent electrochemical potential on electron screening in the paramagnetic Pd.

Disordered molecular solids present a rather broad class of substances of different origin—amorphous polymers, materials for photonics and optoelectronics, amorphous pharmaceutics, simple molecular glass formers, and others.

Nature of the spin resonance mode in CeCoIn$_5$ [PDF]
Spin-fluctuation-mediated unconventional superconductivity can emerge at the border of magnetism, featuring a superconducting order parameter that changes sign in momentum space.

Probing Primordial Chirality with Galaxy Spins [PDF]
Chiral symmetry is maximally violated in weak interactions, and such microscopic asymmetries in the early Universe might leave observable imprints on astrophysical scales without violating the cosmological principle. In this Letter, we propose a helicity measurement to detect primordial chiral violation.

Quantum probes of timelike naked singularities in the weak field regime of $f(R)$ global monopole spacetime [PDF]
The formation of a naked singularity in $f(R)$ global monopole spacetime is considered in view of quantum mechanics. Quantum test fields obeying the Klein$-$Gordon, Dirac and Maxwell equations are used to probe the classical timelike naked singularity ...

Probing nucleon spin structure [PDF]
One of the important questions in high energy physics is the relation of quark and gluon spin to that of the nucleons which they comprise. Polarization experiments provide a mechanism to probe the spin properties of elementary particles and provide crucial tests of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD).

A quantum spin-probe molecular microscope [PDF]
Abstract Imaging the atomic structure of a single biomolecule is an important challenge in the physical biosciences. Whilst existing techniques all rely on averaging over large ensembles of molecules, the single-molecule realm remains unsolved.
