New results for the spin of the Eulerian triad and the logarithmic spin and rate
Acta Mechanica, 2002This work is concerned with explicit determination of spin tensor at any point of a moving continuous medium which measures the material time rate of change of orthonormal eigenvectors of symmetric Cauchy deformation tensor at the same point. Using Sylvester formula, the spin tensor is expressed as a sum of some antisymmetric tensors involving ...

An alternative to ring lasers for spin-rate sensing is proposed, which is less sensitive but potentially more compact. It consists of a two-mirror CW laser supporting a higher-order TEM pl Laguerre-Gaussian mode of the ring type, isolated by means of a uniform annular distribution of net gain.

A spin-spin relaxation rate investigation of the gelatin ferrous sulphate NMR dosimeter
Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1994Spin-spin NMR relaxation rate in the ferrous sulphate gelatin dosimeter has been studied in terms of pH, gelatin concentration, the addition of benzoic acid, and sample size. It is demonstrated that R2 is more sensitive to changes in Fe3+ ion concentration than R1 when measuring at frequencies of 64 and 100 MHz.

Chaotic spin exchange: Is the spin non-flip rate observable?
Hyperfine Interactions, 1994If spin exchange is of the Poisson nature, that is, if the time distribution of collisions obeys an exponential distribution functionand the collision process is random, the muon spin depolarization is determined only by the spin flip rate regardless of the spin non-flip rate.

Rates and spin properties of hadrons in jets
Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1998Abstract The hadronic Z0 decays, recorded by the OPAL detector at LEP, have been used to study strange hadron rates in quark and gluon jets and to determine the spin alignment of the φ(1020), D∗ and B∗ vector mesons. A first measurement of the spin content of the Λ Λ and ΛΛ( Λ Λ ) systems is also presented.

Damping rate for hydrodynamic spin waves
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1998Abstract A microscopic theory of hydrodynamic spin waves in an isotropic Heisenberg ferromagnet at T T C ( T C – Curie temperature) was recently developed by the author. One of the new results of this theory is that the exchange interaction does not contribute to the damping rate of hydrodynamic spin waves.
