CYSTS WITHIN THE SPINAL CANAL [PDF]
Krauss 1 reviews eleven cases of cyst of the spinal canal. Of these only one, that of Spiller 2 appears to be identical with the one herewith reported. Spiller 3 says: "A collection of clear fluid in a cyst of the spinal pia arachnoid is a condition little known in America, as only one case occurring in this country is on record (Spiller, Musser and ...

Spinal cord injury (SCI) poses significant challenges for regeneration due to a series of secondary injury mechanisms. How to use biomaterial approach to target the failed regeneration after SCI remains a critical challenge. This review systematically evaluates current strategies to optimize biomaterial topographies for neurite outgrowth, axonal ...

Could spinal canal compression be a cause of polyneuropathy?
Causality between spinal cord compression and polyneuropathy is difficult to define, especially under the circumstances that polyneuropathy can have many causes. Seven patients with spinal cord compression and electrophysiological signs of polyneuropathy

LRRC8A Regulates Outer Hair Cell Volume and Electromotility and is Required for Hearing
This study identifies LRRC8A‐dependent volume‐regulated anion channels (VRACs) as essential for cochlear outer hair cells' electromotility and auditory signal amplification. LRRC8A deficiency disrupts cell volume control, impairs auditory sensitivity, and causes deafness, while targeted LRRC8A re‐expression restores auditory function.
