Monitoring morphometric drift in lifelong learning segmentation of the spinal cord [PDF]
Morphometric measures derived from spinal cord segmentations can serve as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in neurological diseases and injuries affecting the spinal cord. While robust, automatic segmentation methods to a wide variety of contrasts and pathologies have been developed over the past few years, whether their predictions are stable as ...

Mechanism of Electricacupuncture Treating Detrusor Bladder Neck Dyscoordination After Suprasacral Spinal Cord Injury by Proteomics [PDF]
Objectives This study aimed to elucidate the potential mechanisms of electroacupuncture (EA) in restoring detrusor-bladder neck dyssynergesia (DBND) following suprasacral spinal cord injury. Methods A total of 52 adult female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to either a sham group (n=12) or a spinal cord injury model group (n=40).

First-in-human spinal cord tumor imaging with fast adaptive focus tracking robotic-OCT [PDF]
Current surgical procedures for spinal cord tumors lack in vivo high-resolution, high-speed multifunctional imaging systems, posing challenges for precise tumor resection and intraoperative decision-making. This study introduces the Fast Adaptive Focus Tracking Robotic Optical Coherence Tomography (FACT-ROCT) system, designed to overcome these obstacles

Research progress on the mechanisms of pain empathy
This article is related to the graphical research progress of pain empathy, starting with the description of the pain matrix and mirror neurons. Based on the pain matrix and mirror neurons, pain empathy results from the combined action of brain regions such as the anterior cingulate cortex, insula, prefrontal cortex, and amygdala and regulatory ...
