Firing pattern of neurons in the rostral and ventral part of nucleus reticularis thalami during EEG spindles

Experimental Neurology, 1974
Abstract The firing pattern of neurons in the rostral and ventral part of nucleus reticularis thalami during cortical EEG spindles was investigated in unanesthetized encephale isole cats. Spontaneous spindles as well as those induced by a single thalamic shock were accompanied by an increase in discharge frequency in 97% of the neurons in the rostral

Modelling of vertical spindle mills. Part 2: Integrated models for E-mill, MPS and CKP mills

Fuel, 2015
The sub-models of comminution and classification for vertical spindle mill (VSM) presented in Part 1 of this paper have been integrated in the VSM simulation models for the E-mill, MPS mill and CKP mill. Plant survey data from an E-mill (ball-race) and MPS mill (roller-race), both including internal streams and external sampling, and the CKP mill ...

31—THE MECHANICS OF FRICTION-TWISTING REASSESSED PART I: THE YARN PATH IN A DISC SPINDLE

The Journal of The Textile Institute, 1984
The yarn path is shown to be dominated by disc geometry and spacing rather than forces, Expressions are derived from which the angle of wrap and the angle of attack can be calculated for any profile and disc setting. Experimental verification is provided for the dependence of the angle of attack on centre-spacing.

[Discharge characteristics of spindle receptors located in different parts of the soleus muscle in the cat].

Neirofiziologiia = Neurophysiology, 1983
A procedure is described for precise location of the capsula of a muscle spindle within the muscle by a restricted coagulation which abolishes the discharge of the spindle afferent. The point for coagulation was approximately determined by careful stretching of a little portion of muscle fibres, by slight pressure on the external and internal surface ...
