Structural properties of Mn-substituted hercynite

open access: yesNukleonika, 2017
In this work spinel series with the general formula Fe1-xMnxAl2O4 (where x = 0, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7) were synthesized and characterized with respect to their structure and microstructure. X-ray diffractometry (XRD) was used to identify the phase composition

Thermodynamic Properties of MgAl2O4 Spinel at High Temperatures and High Pressures

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
Thermodynamic properties of MgAl2O4 spinel are significant in understanding the phase relations of the Earth’s crust and upper mantle, but available values from experimental measurements are limited at ambient pressure conditions to date.

On the Balance of Intercalation and Conversion Reactions in Battery Cathodes

open access: yes, 2018
We present a thermodynamic analysis of the driving forces for intercalation and conversion reactions in battery cathodes across a range of possible working ion, transition metal, and anion chemistries.

High‐Entropy Perovskite Nanofibers for Bifunctional Air Electrodes in Reversible Protonic Ceramic Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐entropy perovskite nanofibers serve as robust and active bifunctional air electrodes in reversible protonic ceramic electrochemical cells. Their compositional complexity stabilizes the lattice, enriches oxygen vacancies, and accelerates surface exchange.

Thermogravimetric and magneticproperties of Ni1-X Zn xFe2O4 nanoparticles synthesized by coprecipitation

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2009
Ni1-xZn xFe2O4 (x = 0 to 1) nanoparticles of size less than 9 nm were prepared by a chemical coprecipitation method which could be used for ferrofluid preparation.

Phase-Pure Epitaxial b-Axis-Oriented Bronze TiO2 Films

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
We demonstrate the heteroepitaxial growth of phase-pure bronze-phase TiO2 films using pulsed laser deposition on MgAl2O4 single-crystal substrates. While the growth on cubic substrates with smaller lattice parameters favors the stabilization of an out-of-

Atomically Revealing Bulk Point Defect Dynamics in Hydrogen‐Driven γ‐Fe2O3 → Fe3O4 → FeO Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM uncovers the atomic‐scale mechanisms underlying hydrogen‐driven γ‐Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO reduction. In γ‐Fe2O3, oxygen vacancies cluster around intrinsic Fe vacancies, leading to nanopore formation, whereas in Fe3O4, vacancy aggregation is suppressed, preserving a dense structure.

Investigation of Vanadium-Containing Sludge Oxidation Roasting Process for Vanadium Extraction

open access: yesMetals, 2021
Vanadium containing sludge is a by-product of vanadium pentoxide obtained by hydrometallurgical methods from vanadium slag that can be estimated as a promising technogeneous raw material for vanadium production.
