Primordial Dark Energy from a Condensate of Spinors in a 5D Vacuum

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2013
We explore the possibility that the expansion of the universe can be driven by a condensate of spinors which are free of interactions in a 5D relativistic vacuum defined in an extended de Sitter spacetime which is Riemann flat.

Differential Item Functioning on the Patient Health Questionnaire 8 by Disease Subtype, Language, Sex, and Age Among People With Systemic Sclerosis: A Scleroderma Patient‐Centered Intervention Network Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

Scattering amplitudes and the Cotton double copy

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We construct classical curvature spinors in topologically massive gauge theory and topologically massive gravity, expressed in terms of massive three-particle amplitudes. We show that when the amplitudes double copy, the curvature spinors associated with

Mixed gauge-gravity term and proper time

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We consider the four-dimensional action of spinors minimally coupled to a U(1) gauge field on a Riemann-Cartan background. In this theory, we integrate over the spinors and study the resulting one-loop gauge-gravity effective action, paying special ...

A hint towards mass dimension one Flag-dipole spinors

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
In this report we advance in exploring further details concerning the formal aspects of the construction of a Flag-dipole spinor. We report a (re-)definition of the dual structure which provide a Lorentz invariant and non-null norm, ensuring a local ...

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Spinors in supersymmetric dS/CFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study fermionic bulk fields in the dS/CFT dualities relating N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 su- persymmetric Euclidean vector models with reversed spin-statistics in three dimensions to supersymmetric Vasiliev theories in four-dimensional de Sitter space ...

Low‐Cost, Large‐Scale Nanoporous Metals by Mechanical Alloying, Oxide Reduction, and Dealloying of Powders

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Powder metal processing provides scalable advantages in nanoporous (np) metal development. Mechanical alloying is used to produce unique precursors for hybrid nanopore formation by oxide reduction and dealloying. As demonstrated in np Ag, this approach improves process efficiency while promoting smaller ligaments and larger pores, both of which are ...

A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...
