Advanced Science, EarlyView.This work introduces a substrate‐independent, reagent‐free plasma strategy that forms radical‐rich interlayers for covalent hydrogel attachment without initiators or crosslinkers. The long‐lived radicals drive in situ gelation, creating robust, cytocompatible hybrid solid–hydrogel constructs across diverse substrates.

Batteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.Owing to their extended π‐conjugation 2,2′‐bipyridyl aromatic diesters are stable in singly‐ and doubly‐reduced states. In a redox flow battery a high battery voltage of 2.82 V can be realized and a capacity a capacity retention of 99.5% per cycle for 260 cycles.
