Marine Biology, 1995
The pelagic larvae of the polychaete Marenzelleria viridis (Verrill, 1873) are newcomers among the meroplankton of the Baltic Sea, where they sometimes achieve an abundance of up to 21x106 ind m-3 near the coast, especially in late autumn and even in winter.

Molecular analysis of the Pygospio elegans group of species (Annelida: Spionidae)

Zootaxa, 2016
Pygospio elegans Claparède, 1863, the type species of the genus Pygospio, was originally described from Normandy, France, and later widely reported from boreal waters in the northern hemisphere. Sequence data of four gene fragments (2576 bp in total) of the mitochondrial 16S rDNA, nuclear 18S and 28S rDNA, and Histone 3 have shown that individuals from

New Prionospio and Laubieriellus (Annelida: Spionidae) species from Southeastern Brazil

Zootaxa, 2019
Two new Prionospio species—Prionospio solisi sp. nov. and Prionospio nonatoi sp. nov. and a new Laubieriellus species—Laubieriellus decapitata sp. nov. are described from Espírito Santo Basin, Southeast Brazil. For both Prionospio species, branchial pattern differed from the genus diagnosis, which is therefore emended.

Palp morphology in two species of Prionospio (Polychaeta: Spionidae)

Hydrobiologia, 2003
The palp morphology of Prionospio fallax Soderstrom, 1920 from Sweden and Prionospio cf. saldanha Day, 1961 from Thailand was examined with a scanning electron microscope. Prionospio fallax was also studied in vivo using light-microscopy. Both species have grooved feeding palps, adorned with up to five ciliary characters: frontal cilia, transverse ...
