A compact broadband spiral antenna

open access: yes2008 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2008
This paper presents a dual arm equiangular spiral antenna with embedded chip resistors and a compact balun. In order to reduce the size of the spiral antenna, a compact balun is developed which can be integrated into the spiral antenna.

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Mapping Nanoscale Protein‐Corona Kinetics of DoE‐Optimized Perfluorocarbon Encapsulated‐PLGA Nanoparticles by In Situ, Time‐Resolved Synchrotron SAXS

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

A Data Driven Review of In Vitro Electrical and Mechanical Stimulation for Post‐Acute Phase Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...

Spiral antenna with integrated detector

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1980
A spiral antenna for the detection of pulsed signals in the 2.5–18 GHz range has been built and tested. The antenna has a detector diode mounted directly on the spiral itself, thereby eliminating the need for a balun. A description of the antenna and its electrical characteristics is given.

Fully Wireless and Flexible Valves for Multiplexed and Prolonged Intravesical Liquid Release

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A fundamental mechanism for the simultaneous control of multiple magnetic valves is reported in a miniature soft robotic patch for intravesical drug delivery, enabling fully wireless and programmable liquid release. Integrated with a bioadhesive interface and induction‐coupling‐based liquid volume sensing, the soft robotic patch is promising to enable ...
