Gas minor-axis velocity gradients in early-type spiral galaxies
We measured a remarkable gas velocity gradient along the minor axis of 5 early-type spiral galaxies. This phenomenon suggests the presence of a kinematically-decoupled component in orthogonal rotation with respect to the galaxy disk.

100 Proof: H i Observations of 100 Nearby Dwarf Galaxies with the 100 m Green Bank Telescope
We describe the results of observations with the 100 m Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope in the H i line of 105 nearby dwarf galaxies, 60 of which were discovered recently in the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys.

Counter-Rotating Disks in Galaxies
reservedCounter-rotation is a phenomenon found in some galaxies; it happens when a counter-rotating disk which rotates in an opposite direction to the main disk is found.

Secondary evolution of galaxies investigated by N-body simulations
In the ΛCDM cosmology, merging is one of the most important physical processes that drives the formation and evolution of galaxies. In the present work, we use N-body techniques to investigate some of currently open issues related to the formation and ...

Star Formation in the Lopsided Galaxy Arp 291
We have investigated the star formation process taking place in the lopsided galaxy Arp 291, based on narrowband images in the H α , [N ii ] λ 6583, and [O iii ] λ 5007 emission lines, obtained using the modern tunable photometer MaNGaL at the Caucasus ...

Spiral Structure Properties, Dynamics, and Evolution in Milky Way–mass Galaxy Simulations
The structure of spiral galaxies is essential to understanding the dynamics and evolution of disk galaxies; however, the precise nature of spiral arms remains uncertain.
