Redox‐Mediated Amination of Pyrogallol‐Based Polyphenols

Amyloids are known to be modified by natural polyphenols via amination. This study investigates the oxidative coupling mechanisms between polyphenols and N‐nucleophiles, using in vitro and in silico approaches. It is shown that polyphenols with a pyrogallol substructure and an electron‐withdrawing group at the C4a‐position are most effective.

Biosourced Antioxidants for Chemical Durability Enhancement of Perfluorosulfonic Acid Membrane

Bio‐sourced antioxidant, ellagic acid is found to be highly reversible in the acidic conditions of hydrogen fuel cells. It enhances Nafion durability by 2.5 times when incorporated alone and at least 1.8 times compared to the state‐of‐the‐art when incorporated with cerium.
