On smooth multivariate spline functions [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 1983
In this paper the dimensions of bivariate spline spaces with simple cross-cut grid partitions are determined and expressions of their basis functions are given. Consequently, the closures of these spaces over all partitions of the same type can be determined.

A Solution of Second Kind Volterra Integral Equations Using Third Order Non-Polynomial Spline Function

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2015
In this paper, third order non-polynomial spline function is used to solve 2nd kind Volterra integral equations. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the applications of this method, and to compare the computed results with other known ...

Realization of a recursive digital filter based on penalized splines [PDF]

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика, 2018
In this paper the possibility of development of the recursive digital filter using a P-spline is considered. The frequency and time response of the spline filter for real-time data are analytically obtained and investigated. The influence of the P-spline

Locally Controllable Attitude B-Spline Function

open access: yesIEEE Access
Continuous attitude spline functions are used in computer animation and in the generation of virtual inertial sensor data. Unlike the B-spline functions in $R^{3}$ , it is not easy to locally control attitude the B-spline function in $SO(3)$ .

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Recursive B-spline approximation using the Kalman filter

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2017
This paper proposes a novel recursive B-spline approximation (RBA) algorithm which approximates an unbounded number of data points with a B-spline function and achieves lower computational effort compared with previous algorithms.

Clinical and Modifiable Factors Associated With Disability and Relapse in MOGAD: A Multicentre Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Factors associated with relapse course and disability in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD) remain incompletely understood. Objectives To identify clinical and modifiable factors associated with relapse and disability in MOGAD. Methods In this ambispective multicentre cohort study using data from

Predictive Value of Composite Inflammatory Markers for Stroke Prognosis: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Novel composite inflammatory markers' role in stroke prognosis is understudied, and the best predictor is unclear, requiring further exploration. Objectives This study aimed to systematically evaluate the associations of 6 novel composite inflammatory markers on stroke prognosis.

Minimizing Error Bounds in Lacunary Interpolation by Spline (0, 2) Case [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science, 2009
In this paper, we have changed the boundary conditions and the class of spline functions which are given by (Varma, (1973) from first derivative to third derivative, and show that the change of the boundary conditions and the class of spline functions ...
