Coupled-Resonator Optical Near-Field Lithography [PDF]
The problem of pattern formation in resonantly-enhanced near-field lithography by the use of dielectric or plasmonic planar resonators is investigated. Sub-diffraction-limited bright or dark spots can be produced by taking advantage of the rotational invariance of planar resonators.

Ultrasensitive vibrational resonance induced by small disturbances [PDF]
We have found two kinds of ultra-sensitive vibrational resonance in coupled nonlinear systems. It is particularly worth pointing out that this ultra-sensitive vibrational resonance is a transient behavior caused by transient chaos. Considering long-term response, the system will transform from transient chaos to periodic response.

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the reliability of very high‐frequency oscillations (VHFOs, 500–2000 Hz) as biomarkers in identifying the epileptogenic zone (EZ) in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) patients. Methods We reviewed 19 MTLE patients who underwent stereo‐electroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation.

Mapping of Euclidean resonance on static resonant tunneling [PDF]
Quantum tunneling through an almost classical potential barrier can be strongly enhanced by a nonstationary field so that the penetration through the barrier becomes not exponentially small. This constitutes an extremely unusual phenomenon of quantum physics called Euclidean resonance.

Some Applications of Metamaterial Resonators Based on Symmetry Properties [PDF]
Metamaterial resonators are electrically small resonant particles useful for the implementation of effective media metamaterials. In this paper, some applications of metamaterial resonators (such as the split ring resonator -SRR-, the complementary split

Translating Muscle RNAseq Into the Clinic for the Diagnosis of Muscle Diseases
ABSTRACT Objective Approximately half of patients with hereditary myopathies remain without a definitive genetic diagnosis after DNA next‐generation sequencing (NGS). Here, we implemented transcriptome analysis of muscle biopsies as a complementary diagnostic tool for patients with muscle disease but no definitive genetic diagnosis after exome ...

An ultrastrongly coupled single terahertz meta-atom
By combining an asymmetric immersion lens setup and a complementary resonating metasurface, the authors are able to resolve the far-field transmission of an ultrastrongly coupled, highly subwavelength split-ring single resonator at millimeter wavelengths.

An Integrable Model for the Dynamics of Planetary Mean Motion Resonances [PDF]
I consider the dynamics of mean motion resonances between pairs of co-planar planets and derive a new integrable Hamiltonian model for planets' resonant motion. The new model generalizes previously-derived integrable Hamiltonians for first-order resonances to treat higher-order resonances by exploiting a surprising near-symmetry of the full, non ...

Twisted split-ring-resonator photonic metamaterial with huge optical activity
Coupled split-ring-resonator metamaterials have previously been shown to exhibit large coupling effects, which are a prerequisite for obtaining large effective optical activity.

Enhanced transmission through a subwavelength aperture using metamaterials [PDF]
We report an enhanced transmission through a single circular subwavelength aperture that is incorporated with a split ring resonator (SRR) at the microwave regime.
