Microwave Icing Sensor Based on Interdigital-Complementary Split-Ring Resonator
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2022Icing has always been a problem for the aviation industry and the UAV sector. Small and accurate icing sensors can ensure the safety of critical parts of the aircraft and small UAVs in flight.

International Journal of Communication Systems, 2022
In this article, a split‐ring resonator‐inspired fractal antenna for the GSM and sub‐6‐GHz 5G applications is presented. The antenna geometry uses a combination of square‐shaped split‐ring resonators arranged in a Sierpinski fractal arrangement that is ...

Linear birefringence in split-ring resonators
Optics Letters, 2012We study polarization-dependent transmission of light through arrays of single-slit split-ring resonator (SSRR) based systems at normal incidence using finite integration time domain (FITD) and finite element methods (FEM). It is found that a conventional planar array of SSRRs acts as an effective optical wave plate at certain polarizations of incident

We propose a novel graphene-based metasurface plasmonic biosensor. The gold split-ring resonator is used as a metasurface element in the biosensor. Split Ring Resonator structures are used to localize and increase electromagnetic field incidents.

Nanoscale double asymmetric split ring resonators
SPIE Proceedings, 2011Double asymmetric split ring resonators (DA-SRRs) are composed of four separate asymmetric metallic arcs that share the same centre-of-curvature. These four arcs interact to produce very steep slopes in the reflection spectrum and also increase the number of trapped modes.

Light-controllable split-ring resonators
2012 42nd European Microwave Conference, 2012The paper presents a new approach for designing electromagnetic metamaterials which can be controlled by an external light source. The design of light-tunable split-ring resonators loaded by a varactor diode and biased by a photodiode operating in photovoltaic mode is proposed.

Supershaped complementary split-ring resonators
2017 USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (Joint with AP-S Symposium), 2017This paper investigates the possibility of using complementary split ring resonators based on Gielis transformation as basic elements for the design of microwave filters implemented in planar technology. From the electromagnetic simulation of these structures, suitable equivalent circuit models are extracted and analyzed.
