A novel millimeter wave super lens using split-ring resonator and complementary split-ring resonator

2009 34th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2009
We report a millimeter wave super lens based on the left-handed metamaterial using split-ring resonator (SRR) and complementary SRR (CSRR). The millimeter wave cannot propagate far away due to short wavelength. Therefore, the system for THz or millimeter wave band demands the lens to obtain strong focused signal from weak waves caused by scattering in ...

Triband Microstrip–Based Radiating Structure Design using Split Ring Resonator and Complementary Split Ring Resonator

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2013
ABSTRACTIn this letter, a novel microstrip patch antenna is designed with the use of both split ring resonator (SRR) and complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). The use of SRR and CSRR in the substrate and base material, respectively, have changed the behavior of the material and now it acts as metamaterial. Metamaterials exhibit new electromagnetic

Metamaterial transmission lines based on split-ring resonators (SRRs) and complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs)

2010 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2010
Microstrip line periodically loaded with split-ring resonators (SRRs) and complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) is designed. By utilizing the CSRRs/gaps and SRRs/inductances combinations, two passbands are observed. Because of the negative permeability offered by SRRs and series capacitances, the negative permittivity offered by CSRRs and shunt ...

Split Ring Resonator Loaded Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna

2018 11th UK-Europe-China Workshop on Millimeter Waves and Terahertz Technologies (UCMMT), 2018
We present a novel technique for the miniaturization of dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) based on the magneto-dielectric concept. This is achieved by artificially inducing a strong magnetic resonance inside the DRA with a split ring resonator. The $\text{HE}_{11\delta}$ mode of the cylindrical DRA is excited via the slot under the DRA.

Novel triple‐mode resonators using split‐ring resonator

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2007
AbstractNovel and compact triple‐mode resonators have been investigated and designed using split‐ring resonator (SRR) to obtain three controllable resonant frequencies. An even/odd‐mode method is proposed. The current distributions are computed by commercial software. Several triple‐mode resonators are designed and fabricated.

Multi-Band RF Planar Sensor Using Complementary Split Ring Resonator for Testing of Dielectric Materials

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2018
In this paper, an attractive multi-band RF planar sensor, suitable for non-destructive testing of dispersive materials, is proposed. The proposed sensor is based on a number of complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) unit cells etched in the ground ...

Split ring loaded dielectric resonator antenna

2017 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2017
Dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) can be miniaturized by using high-permittivity (high-e) and/or high-permeability (high-μ) materials. Given the same miniaturization ratio, the one with high-μ allows for a wider bandwidth. However, the loss of a natural high-μ material is unacceptably high at microwave frequencies.

A multichannel metallic dual nano-wall square split-ring resonator: design analysis and applications

Laser Physics Letters, 2019
A multichannel metallic dual nano-wall square split-ring resonator is proposed for both filter and sensor applications. It is comprised of four square split-ring resonators which filter out wavelengths at 598 nm, 675 nm, 753 nm and 838 nm that are ...
