Protein O‐glycosylation in the Bacteroidota phylum
Species of the Bacteroidota phylum exhibit a unique O‐glycosylation system. It modifies noncytoplasmic proteins on a specific amino acid motif with a shared glycan core but a species‐specific outer glycan. A locus of multiple glycosyltransferases responsible for the synthesis of the outer glycan has been identified.

Nonlinear magnetization dynamics of antiferromagnetic spin resonance induced by intense terahertz magnetic field [PDF]
We report on the nonlinear magnetization dynamics of a HoFeO3 crystal induced by a strong terahertz magnetic field resonantly enhanced with a split ring resonator and measured with magneto-optical Kerr effect microscopy.

Abstract Purpose This study aims to evaluate how different gantry angles, breathing rates (BPM), cine image speeds, and tracking algorithms affect beam on/off latency and the subsequent impact on target dose for a 0.35T MR‐Linac with a 6 MV FFF beam.

Complementary split-ring resonator-based deflecting structure
We describe full wave simulation results for a compact, novel deflecting structure operating around 2 GHz. The structure consists of a pair of elliptical complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) etched into a copper rectangular waveguide along with ...

Enhanced transmission of electromagnetic waves through split-ring resonator-shaped apertures [PDF]
The design of aperture shape is a promising approach for enhanced transmission through a subwavelength aperture. We designed split-ring-resonator (SRR)-shaped apertures in order to increase the transmission through subwavelength apertures by making use ...

Mitochondrial DNA disorders in neuromuscular diseases in diverse populations
Abstract Neuromuscular features are common in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) disorders. The genetic architecture of mtDNA disorders in diverse populations is poorly understood. We analysed mtDNA variants from whole‐exome sequencing data in neuromuscular patients from South Africa, Brazil, India, Turkey and Zambia. In 998 individuals, there were two definite

Improved Split-Ring Resonator for Microfluidic Sensing [PDF]
We present a method of making low-loss split-ring resonators (SRRs) for microfluidic sensing at microwave frequencies using silver-coated copper wire. We show that a simple geometric modification and the use of square cross-section wire give greater electric field confinement in the capacitive region of the resonant sensor.

Circularly Polarized Split Ring Resonator Loaded Slot Antenna
A compact circularly polarized printed slot antenna operating at 2.45 GHz is reported. The antenna consists of a pair of rotated square split ring resonators (SRR) inside a rectangular slot etched on the ground plane of an FR-4 dielectric substrate.
