Split Without a Leak: Reducing Privacy Leakage in Split Learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The popularity of Deep Learning (DL) makes the privacy of sensitive data more imperative than ever. As a result, various privacy-preserving techniques have been implemented to preserve user data privacy in DL. Among various privacy-preserving techniques,

SPLIĆANI U MLETAČKIM PREKOMORSKIM PJEŠAČKIM POSTROJBAMA U 18. STOLJEĆU

open access: yesZbornik radova Filozofskog fakulteta u Splitu, 2021
Tijekom ranoga novovjekovlja, a ponajprije u vrijeme mletačko-osmanskih ratova u 17. i 18. stoljeću, okosnicu mletačkih prekojadranskih kopnenih snaga činile su postrojbe pod nazivom Fanti oltramarini i Croati a cavallo (Cavalleria Croati), unovačene ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A Metaheuristic for the Pickup and Delivery Problem with Split-Loads and its Extension

open access: yes, 2009
In this dissertation, we study improvements in the Pickup and Delivery Problem that can be achieved by allowing multiple vehicle trips to serve a common load.

Splitting and non-splitting in the difference hierarchy

open access: yesMathematical Structures in Computer Science, 2016
In this paper, we investigate splitting and non-splitting properties in the Ershov difference hierarchy, in which area major contributions have been made by Barry Cooper with his students and colleagues. In the first part of the paper, we give a brief survey of his research in this area and discuss a number of related open questions. In the second part

Split semiorders

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1999
Let \({\mathcal P}\) be the class of finite posets. Various subclasses of \({\mathcal P}\) generalizing the class of linear orders (weak orders, semiorders, interval orders, tolerance orders, etc.) have been studied recently. The authors deal mainly with the classes of split semiorders and split interval orders.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Restoration of the Peristyle of Diocletian’s Palace in Split

open access: yes, 2018
Various types of granite and marble used for the construction and decoration of Diocletian’s palace and of its central square – the Peristyle – were imported from distant regions of the Empire, mostly from Egypt and Asia Minor.

On split Lie color triple systems

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
In order to begin an approach to the structure of arbitrary Lie color triple systems, (with no restrictions neither on the dimension nor on the base field), we introduce the class of split Lie color triple systems as the natural generalization of split ...
