Establishing a Model Precursor System: Over a Decade of Research on Carbon Dots from the Citric Acid‐Urea System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The citric acid/urea (CA‐Urea) precursor system offers a versatile, scalable route to carbon dots with tunable luminescence and multifunctionality. Mechanistic insights into precursor chemistry and reaction parameters have enabled doping, surface modification, and hybridization strategies, yielding CDs for luminescent devices, sensing, catalysis ...

An Iterative Algorithm for the Split Equality and Multiple-Sets Split Equality Problem

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
The multiple-sets split equality problem (MSSEP) requires finding a point x∈∩i=1NCi, y∈∩j=1MQj such that Ax=By, where N and M are positive integers, {C1,C2,…,CN} and {Q1,Q2,…,QM} are closed convex subsets of Hilbert spaces H1, H2,

Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors for Probing Free Radical Biology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Free radicals play key roles in cellular signaling and disease but remain difficult to measure in living systems. Nanodiamonds (NDs) with nitrogen‐vacancy (NV) centers enable quantum sensing of local magnetic noise via T₁ relaxometry, providing nondestructive radical detection in living cells.

Inertial Halpern-type iterative algorithm for the generalized multiple-set split feasibility problem in Banach spaces

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
In this paper, we study the generalized multiple-set split feasibility problem including the common fixed-point problem for a finite family of generalized demimetric mappings and the monotone inclusion problem in 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth ...

Algorithmic Design of Disordered Networks With Arbitrary Coordination: Application to Biophotonics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Predictive Design of Disordered Networks: Disordered network‐like morphologies are abundant in nature, from cytoskeletal networks to bone structures and chalcogenide glasses. These structures are naturally hard to characterize. A new algorithmic tool extends the established Wooten–Weaire–Winer (WWW) algorithm to valencies above 4.

Convergence theorems for split feasibility problems on a finite sum of monotone operators and a family of nonexpansive mappings

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this paper, we present two iterative algorithms for approximating a solution of the split feasibility problem on zeros of a sum of monotone operators and fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings.

Tissue‐Stimulator Platform for Electrically Stimulating Pancreatic β‐Cells for Long‐Term Functional Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Convergence Result for Solving the Split Fixed Point Problem with Multiple Output Sets in Nonlinear Spaces

open access: yesMathematics
We study the split fixed point problem with multiple output sets in nonlinear spaces, particularly in CAT(0) spaces. We modify the existing self-adaptive algorithm for solving the split common fixed point problem with multiple output sets in the settings

Convex optimization over intersection of simple sets: improved convergence rate guarantees via an exact penalty approach

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the problem of minimizing a convex function over the intersection of finitely many simple sets which are easy to project onto. This is an important problem arising in various domains such as machine learning.
