Stress analysis of crack characteristic of anthracite under dynamic loading

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, Volume 5, Issue 1, Page 56-65, March 2026.
In this article, the dynamic compression test of anthracite under five strain rates is carried out, the evolution law of three kinds of crack characteristic stress is analyzed, and a prediction model of the crack characteristic stress threshold considering the strain rate effect is established. Then, the rationality of crack characteristic stress under

Experimental study on granite and the determination of its true strain-rate effect

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Solids and Structures
To accurately determine the true strain-rate effect of granite in split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) tests, systematic experimental studies from quasi-static to dynamic loading on the same batch of granite samples is required.

Dynamic Constitutive Model of Fractured Brittle Rock With Fillings Based on Weibull Distribution and High‐Frequency Maxwell

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Fractured rocks containing infill materials are frequently encountered in engineering applications, and an understanding of dynamic characteristics is crucial for assessing stability and preventing disasters in rock engineering projects. The novel feature of this paper is that a dynamic constitutive model of fractured rocks with fillings is proposed to

Deformation Behaviors in Single BCC‐Phase Refractory Multi‐Principal Element Alloys under Dynamic Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 36, September 25, 2025.
Exceptional mechanical stability of refractory multi‐principal element alloy (RMPEA) across various strain‐rates and temperature is studied through multiscale experiments coupled with theoretical calculations. This stability originates from competition between twinning and adiabatic heating during dynamic deformation, contributed from severe lattice ...
